TEACHING ARTISTS
MUSIC ORCHARD RICHMOND (MOR)
April Freeman
Hi there, I’m April Freeman! I am a pianist, drummer and music educator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. I attended VCU and graduated with a Music Performance degree in Jazz Studies. I have a deep passion for teaching, and I believe in the importance of a multi-faceted music education for young students; using my experience as both a performer and as a composer/arranger, I do my best to get students excited about whatever aspects of music-making appeal to them. My biggest priority is forming connections with students, and inspiring a curiosity in students to do their own exploration into the vast world of music.
