Melody Makers: A St. Michaels Summer Camp
Join us for camp at St. Michael’s Spectacular Summer Camps!
Melody Makers: A Musical Adventure with Music Orchard (Rising JK-2 grade): Get ready to discover, play, and jam! Music Orchard is a vibrant, hands-on camp that introduces young children to the joy of music through an exciting variety of activities. From bucket drumming and music mind games, to choral singing, and mini-concerts from all instruments of the symphony orchestra, campers will explore sounds, rhythms, and melodies in a playful, supportive environment. Each day is packed with fun: interactive games and musical art activities, choir, and “jam sessions” give every child the chance to create music, learn about new instruments and make friends along the way. No experience? No problem! Sessions are perfect for those new to music while also providing engaging activities for those with previous experience. By the end of camp, campers won’t just have made music—they’ll have made memories, discovered new talents, and fallen in love with the magic of sound. Each camp will end with a short showcase where parents can come and see what their students perfected over the week and walk through a mini art exhibit of music-based art created throughout the week.

12 Days of Giving MORe
Celebrate the Holidays with Music Orchard Richmond!
Giving MORe means using the holidays as a chance to highlight the difference that high-quality music education makes in our students’ lives. With your support, we are able to expand access to FREE music lessons across Richmond. Every donation—no matter the amount—directly increases programming hours and strengthens the support our students receive.
We’re aiming to fund 50 hours of instruction, and you can help us make it happen. Every $100 you give provides one hour of teaching for our students.
Stay connected with us throughout the season by signing up for our newsletter and following us on social media for daily updates.
Play It Forward!
Music Orchard Richmond’s signature fundraising event—where community, creativity, and a shared love of music come together for a powerful cause. Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with live performances including a friendly instrument showdown, a silent auction, raffle, and the joy of investing in Richmond’s young musicians.
Every dollar raised helps us provide inclusive and accessible music education, growth opportunities, and mentorship to K–12 students across the region—especially those in under-resourced communities. By Playing it Forward, you’re helping ensure that every child has the opportunity to grow, express themselves, and build a strong future through music.
Taste the Music
This October, in celebration of Artober, local restaurants and breweries are joining forces to support Music Orchard Richmond (MOR). For every featured menu item sold, $1 will be donated to help increase inclusive access to high-quality music education for Richmond youth.
Day of Play
Music Orchard Richmond will be attending Peter Paul’s Day of Play, a day of fun and resources! MOR teachers will be playing their instruments all afternoon and would love to have you and your children try out the saxophone and violin. Come learn and play with us!
